Privacy

Who I am

I'm Jonny Pappas, a wedding photographer and videographer based near McLaren Vale, South Australia. This policy covers how I handle personal information collected through backlitweddings.com.

What I collect

When you submit the enquiry form I collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your wedding date (if you share it)
  • Venue information (if you share it)
  • Your message and coverage preferences

I do not use cookies for advertising or share your details with third-party marketers. The site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which measures page views without personal identifiers or cookies.

How I use it

Information from the enquiry form is used only to reply to your enquiry and to discuss whether I am the right photographer for your day. I do not send marketing emails. I do not add you to a newsletter.

Where it is stored

Enquiry data is stored in a private database hosted with Supabase (Sydney region) and emailed to me through Resend. Both providers are bound by their own privacy commitments. Backups are encrypted and retained only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and fulfil our agreement.

Wedding films embedded on this site may be served by a third-party video host that sets cookies under its own privacy policy. The relevant host is named here once it is finalised.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your information, ask for it to be corrected, or have it deleted at any time. Email hello@backlitweddings.com and I will action it within 30 days.

Photographs of clients

Photographs and films delivered to clients are owned by Backlit Weddings (you receive a print release for personal use). Where client work appears on this site, it is published with consent. If you are a former client and want any image taken down, email me and it will be removed within seven days.

Updates to this policy

I will update the date at the top of this page if anything material changes. Substantive updates will be highlighted on the homepage for at least seven days.
